06.04 | Converting a Product to Specifi Symbols

Certain equipment may not be available in Specifi, but users can locate it on the Internet or download it from the manufacturer\’s website.

These third-party models can be seamlessly inserted into Specifi and converted to make it part of the project.

To include such models in the plan view, navigate to the \”Load Family\” option, and import the model into the project.

Alternatively, you can drag the model into the project and specify the rotation angle.

As you can see, the equipment lacks a position number and remains invisible in the plan view.

To convert the item into Specifi equipment, click on the \”edit\” command, select the item, and follow the software\’s prompt to convert the equipment to an editable format.

Upon confirming this action, the software reads the parameters and successfully converts the equipment.

The addition of a position number becomes evident, with the software accurately capturing all parameter information.

You can edit the parameters or add information such as a long description for quoting purposes.

Additionally, the integrated equipment is automatically included in the project schedule.

However, the utilities have not been added.

To add the utilities, click on the \”single\” command and specify the desired socket for this model.
